INTERCESSION

TO-MORROW’S SERVICE The ' citizens’ weekly intercessory service will be held in the Town Hall to-morrow, commencing at 11.45 a.m., and lasting half an hour. The starting time has been fixed an hour earlier than usual in the hope that a larger attendance will result. If, howeven such does not happen, serious consideration will have to be given to the cancellation of the meetings. It remains for citizens convinced of the need for prayer in these times of trial to attend in strong numbers and so secure the continuation of a service arranged especially for their benefit. Make bare Thy holy arm, 0 Lord, in the sight of the nations; and avenge, the oppressed and the persecuted. Strengthen the hearts of all free men to endure hardship and td face all danger for the deliverance of the world from the bitterness of bondage; and hasten the day when over all the eartfi evil shall be overcome of good. Amen. 0 Lord, in whom is our confidence, grant us to know that Thou delightest in righteousness, so may we be found loyal to every obligation, responsive to every call of need, and just to all with whom we deal in life’s way. May we use the day for Thy glory and for the helping of others. Amen,
