HOSPITAL BOARD
REPRESENTATION OF COMBINED BOROUGHS CR, DE COEK CHOSEN The Mayor (Mr L. G. Armstrong) reported to the Te Awamutu Borough Council at its fortnightly meeting on Monday night that further negotiations for the appointment of a representative to the Waikato Hospital Board had taken place. Conferences had been held and a final decision hail been left to the two candidates. Eventually Mr Bunn, of Ngaruawahia, had agreed to withdraw his nomination, leaving Mr de Coek, of Te Awamutu, to be elected. The three Councils had agreed to this and it now awaited action along the lines agreed upon. The steps taken were formally approved by the Council, which further endorsed the election of Mr de Coek. On receipt of similar advices from Huntly and Ngaruawahia Councils, the election will be concluded.
