KIHIKIHI GUILD. The ladies of the Kihikihi Anglican Church Guild held a very pleasant sewing afternoon at Mrs T. Brown’s residence on Tuesday last. Mrs N. Sainsbury and Mrs Brown were the hostesses, and Mrs M. G. Sullivan presided over a good attendance. The Rev. M. Calder introduced the Rev. E. H. Strong, who will act as locubui tenens during the absence of the Rev. M. G. Sullivan on military duty. Several competitions were direct'd by Mrs A. Wallace, and resulted as follows: Mrs Brown’s prize, won by Mrs Sullivan and Mrs A. Maunder; Mrs N. Sainsbury’s prize, • won by Miss I. Temple. Mrs A. Wallace also donated a beautiful bunch of Iceland poppies. Those present included Rev. E. HStrong, Rev. M. Calder, Mesdames M. G. Sullivan, Brown, Sainsbury, Maunder, Mcßae, Wallace, Oldham. Keenan (Jnr.), Robinson, and Ngamo, and Miss Temple. Votes of thanks were accorded Mes*damles Sullivan and Browjn, and the proceedings concluded (with afternoon tea.
