WEDDING BELLS

McGECHIE—BOWDEN. A quiet and pretty wedding took place at the Te Awamutu Presbyterian Church on Saturday morning last, when Georgina Marie, youngei daughter of Mr and Mrs G. A. Bow den, Bank Street, and Leading Air craftsman lan Sinclair, only son oi Mrs and the late Mr J. A. McGechie, Pakura Street, were united in the bonds of Holy matrimony. The Rev. J. Pattison officiated. The blade, who entered the church on the arm of her father, by whom she was given away, wore a pretty travelling frock of Air Force blue relieved with white, and hat and shoes to match. She carried a lily of the- valley bouquet. Miss Muriel McGechie (sister of the bridegroom) attended as bridesmaid, wearing- an attractive fuchsia-coloured costume, with grey toque and shoes and a bouquet to match. Aircraftsman Des Roberts carried out the duties of best m/an. The organist was Mrs F. Gibson.

The bride’s mother wore a clovershade frock and hat. The mother of the bridegroom was attired in a frock of teal blue, with hat to match. After the ceremonv a happy gathering of relatives and friends was present at the breakfast, held at the home of the bride’s parents, Bank Street. Mr and Mrs McGechie will make their home with the bride’s sister. Mrs Douglas Speedy, of Palmerston North, Leading Aircraftsman McGechie being at present in training at Ohakea.

Both parties are well known in and around Te Awamutu. having resided here all their lives, and in their married life they will have the good wishes of a large circle of friends.
