TE AWAMUTU SALE. THURSDAY’S REALISATIONS. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited report: Cattle: At their Te Awamutu stock sale on Thursday, a good offering of ox and cow beef came forward and met keen competition with values fully up to recent quotations for both beef and boner cattle. Sheep: A small offering of sheep was penned. Steady competition ruled at rates on a par with late sales. Pigs: A full yarding of all classes of pigs, including a good proportion of fat pigs which sold freely at slightly advanced rates. For a large entry of store pigs, bidding was not very brisk, and values slightly lower than recent sales prevailed. The advertised entry of breeding sows attracted a large bench of buyers and sold freely at recent values. SALE AT OTEWA. Messrs Abraham and Williams Ltd., report having held a very successful clearance sale of cows at Otewa on account of Mi- Faulkener. The cows, a good class lot with a good strain of Ayrshire blood came forward in good order and met with keen competition. Best sorts made £l3 to £l4 10s; early calvers £lO to £l3, while later s»rts realised £7 10s to £lO. The average for the herd was £9 Ils 6d. Two-year heifers made £ll to £ll 10s; good weaner Ayrshire cross heifers £4 15s; Ayrshire bulls 121 to 19 guineas. Brood sows made £4 to £7; small store pigs 20s. SALE AT MORRINSVILLE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company reports on the Morrinsville sale held on Friday as follows:—A large entry of cattle came forward which included the advertised dairy herd on behalf of Mr Geo. Harvey and also the advertised dairy heifers. The sheep entry comprised mostly wethers and hoggets which met only with a fair demand. The dairy cattle were sold before a full bench of buyers and competition throughout was exceptionally keen, especially for the quality dairy heifers; these selling up to £ll 10s. Several pens of store cattle were also yarded, and these also created keen competition.
