THE COUNTRY CLUBS. THE DOUBLE AND MELVILLE CUPS. At a meeting last night of delegates representing the country tennis clubs arrangements were finalised for this season’s competitions for the Double and Melville Cups. It was decided that all clubs be requested to have their courts adequately marked and in as good order as could be reasonably expected for all competition matches. Resolutions had been passed at the annual meeting which had approved the selection of country representatives from both the A and B-grade competitions; and had decided that all matches cancelled or abandoned on account of weather conditions should be played at the end of the competitions. It was decided that there should be no play on the day of the Te Awamutu Show, February Bth. The following is the draw for the competitions mentioned:—

DOUBLE CUP. January 25: Owairaka v. Dairy Factory at Owairaka; Kihikihi v. Orakau at Kihikihi; Korakonui v. Hairini at Korakonui; Te Mawhai a bye. February 1: Owairaka v. Kihikihi at Kihikihi; Dairy Factory v. Orakau at Orakau; Korakonui v. Te Mawhai at Te Mawhai; Hairini a bye. February 15: Owairaka v. Orakau at Orakau; Dairy Factory v. Kihikihi at Factory; Te Mawhai v. Hairini at Hairini; Korakonui a bye.

February 22: Owairaka v. Korakonui at Korakonui; Dairy Factory v. Hairini at Hairini; Kihikihi v. Te Mawhai at Te Mawhai; Orakau a bye.

March 1: Owairaka v. Hairini at Owairaka; Dairy Factory v. Korakonui at Factory; Orakau v s Te Mawhai at Orakau; Kihikihi a bye.

March 8: Owairaka v. Te Mawhai at Te Mawhai; Kihikihi v. Korakonui at Korakonui; Orakau v. Hairini at Hairini; Factory a bye. March 15: Dairy Factory v. Te Mawhai at Factory; Kihikihi v. Hairini at Kihikihi; Orakau v. Korakonui at Orakau; Owairaka a bye.
