OTOROHANGA SHOW
ANNUAL MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. CONFIDENCE IN FUTURE. The Otorohanga Agricultural and Pastoral Association has <a very live membership, and that fact was fully evident at the annual general meeting, when fully sixty members were present. Mr G. D. Hall presided. The financial statement revealed a very satisfactory position, though a small loss had been incurred on the year’s operations. The, cash balance at the end of the year was £140; gate receipts were down £l2, but membership fees increased by £4 and entry fees by £l9. The meeting was unanimous that the annual show be held this season as usual, and the executive was urged to arrange for a date as early in the month as possible, so that petrol would be available for farmers desiring to attend. Members on active service will be retained in full membership. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The election of officers for the ensuing yeiar resulted as follows; Patron, Mr W. J. Broadfoot, M.P., president, Mr G. D. Hall; vice-presid-ents, Messrs Noel Smith and A. Bell (Mr Geo. Richmond resigned from the position and Mr C. Whittington declined nomination); executive committee. Messrs C. Merrin, A. Dew, and Higgnson (light horses); Mr F. Richmond (draught horses); Messrs Pevreal and Schultz (Jerseys); Mr K. Hall (Shorthorns); Mr Rawlings (Ayrshires); Messrs Tipping and Strawbridge (sheep sections); Messrs R. Davis and T. P. Rogers (pig sections); Messrs W. B. MJcAdam, E. L. Dew, and C. Whittington (general). District representatives were elected as last year, Dr A. A. MacFarlane and Dr R. C. Bonnington were appointed honorary surgeons, and Mr C. Tucker was elected honorary audit-
