WEDDING BELLS

HARE—GRAHAM The marriage was solemnised at the home of the bride's brothers, Honikiwi; of Grace Elizabeth, younger daughter of the late Mr and Mrs T. F. Graham, and Leslie Wilfred, only son of Mr and Mrs A. W. Hare, ofMilton (Otago). The ceremony was performed by the Rev. S. W. Webber, of Otorohanga. Toning flowers decorated the homestead, creating a very pleasing effect. The bride’s beautiful frock of fuchsia satin-backed crepe had the bodice cut with .a high waist-line, on to which was pleated the corsage. The sleeves were placed high on the shoulders and ruched prettily down to the elbow. The skirt hung gracefully, the fulness being concentrated at the back. She wore accessories in harmony and carried a posy of sea-holly, gerberas and maidenhair fern. Miss Barbara Graham, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, costumed in a teal frock with accessories to match. Her frock was cut on slimfitting lines and she carried a bouquet of asters, chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. Mr Vernon Fairbrother (Otorohanga) was best man. Following the ceremony a largelyattended reception was held, after which the young couple left for a tour of the South Island, the bride travelling in a navy blue ensemble with furs and accessories to tone. In the evening a very largely attended social and dance was held in their honour at the Honikiwi Hall, when a local swing band provided excellent dance music, featuring the latest hits in perfect tempo. Mr W. Kohi was the principal M.C.; while the dainty supper, served by the ladies of the district, left nothing to be desired.
