WOMEN’S DIVISION
OTOROHANGA BRANCH ANNUAL MEETING Mrs Croasdale presided at the annual meeting of the Otorohanga branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, when there was a full attendance of members. The president’s report on the year’s workings was considered very satisfactory. The election of officers resulted:—President, Mrs Croasdale (re-elected); vice-presidents, Mesdames Deane, Croton and Dailey; secretary, Mrs Chiles; housekeeping secretary, Mrs C. Irvine; trustees, Mesdames Dailey and Irvine; executive, Mesdames Cleland (Puketarata). Hewer (Otewa), Croton (Otewa), Disher (Maihiihi), Simmons (Te Kuiti Road),, Walters (Pirongia Road), Cowern (Waipa ißiver Road), Pevreal (Whawharua), and Slater (Honikiwi); social committee, Mesdames Neshausen, Ormsby, Williamson, Cook and Irvine; exchange and flowers, Mrs J. A. Ormsby. The competition was won by Mesdames Walters and Chilcott. Members paid respect to the late Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, and also ex-
tended sympathy to the relatives and friends of the late Mesdames Boyd and Bell. The New Zealand National Anthem closed the proceedings.
