RIFLE SHOOTING
SERVICE CHAMPIONSHIPS The Otorohanga Defence Rifle Club have now completed the Service Championship series with a doublerange shoot of seven shots each at GOO yards. The winner was L. Palmer <who won last year) with a total of 494. The championship scores were:—L. Palmer 494, F. E. Hyde 433, J. Cowern 427, H. E. Lawrence 424, J. Klein 422, A. Warren 400, F. Thomas 388, J. Eveleigh 381, C. Bryant 376, H. J. Harris 375. C. Hoar 368, E. Southall 464. The trophy, presented by J. R. Graham, Esq., of Honikiwi, for the highest score in . the rapid and snap competition was also won by L. Palmer with F. E. Hyde runner-up and H. E. Lawrence third. J. Cowern, a first year shot, did well to put on a score of 427 in the championship, whilst quite youngmarksmen registered very credible scores. v -.
