VALEDICTORY
MR IVAN F. A. QUIN. A largely-attended social farewell function was tendered to Mr Ivan F. A. Quin, postmaster at Mokauiti, in the local hall last Saturday evening. Mr Quin has enlisted, and is being transferred to Thames Post Office pending his being' called up to go into camp. .He was the recipient of many eulogistic references by various speakers and settlers of the district, where he has been postmaster for the past two years. All referred to his obliging nature and his assistance in all matters appertaining to local sport and field pastimes. He was presented with a well-filled purse, wished the best of luck in his new sphere of duties, and accorded musical honours.
