AT THE EMPIRE
AGAIN TO-NIGHT AND TUESDAY. “THE GANG’S ALL HERE.” Edward Everett Horton has always provided plenty of humour and bright entertainment in his pppearances on the silver screen, and the offering at the local Empire Theatre at present, w The Gang’s All Here,” is a fitting vehicle for his abilities. There were laughs in plenty’ throughout the filming on Saturday’ evening last, and the melodramatic highlights were also in capable hands, with Jack Buchanan, Goodie withers, and Otto Kruger revelling in the main parts. “ The Gang’s All Here ” is rather remindful of “The Thin Man,” a picture that in many places was screened for extended seasons, and thus Te Awamutu patrons can rest assured of an interesting and entertaining screening. There are good supports with “ The Gang’s All Here.”
