TE AWAMUTU STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited reports having held the first sale of the new year at Te Awamutu on Thursday, when a small yarding of fat sheep and store lambs met a very free market. A full entry of cattle include a good proportion of ox and cow beef. Values were inclined to be easier in this section, bu,t vendors met the market, and practically a total clearance was effected. Boner cows and potter bulls showed no alteration on late quotations. Pigs: A very heavy yarding of fat pigs met steady bidding at values on a par with those ruling at Frankton. A large offering of store pigs met an easier demand. Quotations: Sheep: Prime fat shorn wethers 23s 6d to 255, fat woolly wethers to 265, light black-face mutton 18s 6d to 20s, woolly white-face lambs 13s sd, small 10s 4d, woolly black-face lambs 9s lOd to Ils, cuil lambs 5s sd. Cattle: Medium fat bullocks £9 17s 6d to £lO 10s, lighter £8 7s 6d to £9 ss, unfinished £5 19s to £6 12s, heavy fat cows £6 17s to £7 4s, medium £5 to £6 9s, medium fat heifers £6 Is to £6 6s, lighter £4 10s to £5 ss, heavy boner cows £3 15s to £4 10s, medium £2 17s to £3 9s, light £2 to £2 14s, medium potter bulls £7 10s to £8 12s Gd, lighter £5 Ils to £7. PRICES AT MIORRINSVILLE. Messrs Dalgety and Company Limited report having held their weekly stock sale at Morrinsville on Friday as under:— There was a full yarding of cattle and pigs and a medium entry of sheep. Competition for fat cattle was on a nar with last week, boners being a shade easier, but pigs were sought eagerly. Meduim store woolly lambs made 12s lOd, small ditto 9s, fat hoggets 255. Prime light-weight fat heifers £5 12s 6d to £6 19s, fat Jersey cows £5 15s to £6 10s, lighter ditto £4 17s 6d to £5 12s 6d, heavy boners £3 12s to £4 Bs, medium £2 5s to £3 10s, light 15s to £2, heavy potter bulls £7 5s to £9, others £5 10s to £7. Pigs: Heavy bacon pigs £4 to £4 4s, medium £3 15s to £3 19s, butter-milk pigs to light baconers £2 18s to £3 13s, heavy porkers £2 Ils to £2 17s, medium £2 5s to £2 10s, large stores £1 10s to £1 14s, small to £1 ss. OHAUPO STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Company Limited report having held their usual Ohaupo sale on the 12th instant, when a good yarding of cattle firm prices on late rates. Fat Shorthorn cows made £6 to £7 7s, fat Jersey cows £5 10s to £6 ss, light fat cows £4 to £5 10s, heavy boners £3 to £4 10s, potter bulls £6 to £lO 4s, small weaner Jersey calves £2 10s to £2 13s. MORRINSVILLE STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited reports as follows on the firm’s stock sale at Morrinsville on Friday:— A large yarding of cattle came forward, and comprised mostly fat Jersey and boner cows. A large entry of store lambs met fair competition. A full yarding of fat pigs and a good entry of stores were penned. Owing to many farmers hay-making, there was not a very large atendance of buyers for any of the sections, and consequently prices in most cases showed a decline on rates that were ruling previous to Christmas. We quote:— Heavy fat Jersey cows £5 5s to £6 ss, medium fat Jersey cows £4 7s 6d to £5 2s 6d, heavy boner cows £3 17s 6d to £4 ss, medium boner cows £3 5s to £3 16s, others £2 to £2 15s. medium fat Jersey heifers £4 15s to £6, medium fat Jersey heifers £3 15s to £4 12s 6d, store heifers £2 10s to £3 2s
