TE AWAMUTU STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited reports having held the first sale of the new year at Te Awamutu on Thursday, when a small yarding of fat sheep and store lambs met a very free market. A full entry of cattle include a good proportion of ox and cow beef. Values were inclined to be easier in this section, bu,t vendors met the market, and practically a total clearance was effected. Boner cows and potter bulls showed no alteration on late quotations. Pigs: A very heavy yarding of fat pigs met steady bidding at values on a par with those ruling at Frankton. A large offering of store pigs met an easier demand. OHAUPO STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Company Limited report having held their usual Ohaupo sale on the 12th instant, when a good yarding of cattle firm prices on late rates. Fat Shorthorn cows made £6 to £7 7s, fat Jersey cows £5 10s to £6 ss, light fat cows £4 to £5 10s, heavy boners £3 to £4 10s, potter bulls £6 to £lO 4s, small weaner Jersey calves £2 10s to £2 13s. MORRINSVILLE STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited reports as follows on the firm’s stock sale at Morrinsville on Friday:— A large yarding of cattle came forward, and comprised mostly fat Jersey and boner cows. A large entry of store lambs met fair competition. A full yarding of fat pigs and a good entry of stores were penned. Owing to many farmers hay-making, there was not a very large atendance of buyers for any of the sections, and consequently prices in most cases showed a decline on rates that were ruling previous to Christmas.
