TE AWAMUTU STOCK SALE Messrs iDaigety and Co. Ltd., report having held their usual triweekly stock sale at Te Awamutu as under:— Sheep: A medium yaflding of fat and stone sheep came forward and sold at fully up to late rates. We quote:—Light fat shorn wethers 17s 6d to 19s; fat shorn ewes 13s 6d to 15s 9d; fat woolly ewes 16s to 17s 6d; store hoggets mixed sex to 19s 9d; spring lamb 21s 6d; woolly ewes with lambs at foot all counted 13s 9d. Cattle: A good entry of both fat and store cattle came forward and a good sale resulted. Twa pens of Shorthorn bullocks ex the Tokanui Mental Hospital made £ll 5s and £ll 6s apiece. A pen of light 2-year P.A. heifers on account of Mr Phil. Clarke of Mangataparu sold after good competition at £7. We quote:—Light weight P.A. heifers £7; Shorthorn heifers light weight £5 14s to £6; fat Jersey cows £5 17s 6d to £6 15s; lighter ditto £4 15s to £5 12s 6d; heavy boners £3 16s to £4 6s; medium ditto £2 5s to £3 12s; light £1 to £2 Is; potter bulls heavy £7 to £9 ss. Ltd., Hamilton, report as follows on their Morrinsville stock sale, held on Friday. A full entry of cattle came forward which included an average yarding of fat cattle and a full yarding of yearling Jersey heifers. A good yarding of pigs came forward which comprised mostly of light baconers and porkers and also several pens of breeding ewes were offered The fat cattle were sold before the usual bench of buyers and prices remained steady throughout. The yearling heifers sold well to a good bench of buyers and also the advertised breeding ewes elicited keen competition.
