“Regarding the introduction of certain games into hotel bars, this Committee desires to go on record as considering them undesirable; it will discountenance such things in this district,” said Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M., when presiding at the meeting of the Waikato Licensing Committee at Te Awamutu yesterday. He added that reports showed that none of the games referred to were conducted in hotels under the Committee’s jurisdiction, except one where an “electric gun” had been operating. It was suggested that the apparatus be removed.
