PROGRESS BEING MAPE
ELECTRIC SUPPLY FOR KAWHIA. Mr Bryant, engineer to the Te Awamutu Power Board, and his staff have been, and still are, busy surveying for the installation of electricity in the town area. This is a precursor of the progress to be made towards popularising the town from the visitors' point of view especially. As now, when long, dark nights are the rule, the various points in the township are hard to pick up, and even residents have been known to collide with corners that an electric lamp V light would have revealed. Certainly * no very great attention has hitherto been given to the unmasking of Kawhia’s nocturnal attractiveness.
