OTOROHANGA SCHOOL

DEPUTATION TO MINISTER. FURTHER IMPROVEMENTS SOUGHT. A deputation representing the Otorohanga School Committee waited upon the Minister of Education, the Hon. Peter Fraser, at the Te Awamutu opening of their Intermediate. School on Wednesday. The deputation comprised Mr W. I. Bowyer (chairman of the School Committee and member of the Auckland Board of Education), Mrs H. M. Quin, Mr T. Staite and Mr W. Williamson. The deputation represented the urgency of additional school grounds, general improvements, new infant school rooms and swimming baths. The deputation was introduced by Mr W. J. Broadfoot, M.P. for Waitomo. The Minister carefully considered the various requests, and stated that he would put them through the various channels for due consideration, after which the Committee would be duly advised of the results of the various considerations.
