Mr A. G. Laloli, of Te Awamutu, is at present indisposed at Raetihi, recovering from a bout of influenza. Mrs W. P. Locke, of Pakura Street, has returned from a visit to Hawke’s Bay. Miss Islay Wright, of Te Awamutu, has been visiting Matamata as the guest of Mrs E. W. Garland. Miss Eileen Stewart, of Masterton, has been transferred to the Te Awamutu telephone exchange. The Hon. P. Fraser, Minister of Education, and party, plans to go on to Te Kuiti after the ceremony this afternoon at the local Intermediate School.
