HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report:— Sheep: At their weekly Hamilton stock sale on Tuesday a full offering of all classes of ewe and wether mutton sold steadily at late rates', with the exception of unfinished wethers, which were slightly dull of sale. Prime fat ewes sold readily, while the yarding of fat lambs was only of medium quality, realising equal to schedule rates. Cattle: A smaller offering of all classes of cattle, but a full penning of both prime ox and cow beef. Competition was brisk throughout and values in this section also showed an improvement.

Pigs: A small yarding of fats. Prime baconers and porkers sold at recent values, but finished sorts were not in demand. A good penning of breeding sows met a keen demand and realised satisfactory prices. Also a full entry of stores and weaners which realised values on a par with last week. Cattle: Medium fat bullocks £9 9s to £9 16s; lighter £8 Is to £9 4s; heavy fat cows £8 7s 6d to £9 2s; medium £6 18s to £7 13s; lighter £5 10s to £6 15s; fat Jersey cows £5 2s 6d to £5 10s; lighter £4 to £4 16s; heavy boner cows £3 15s to £4 6s; lighter £2 2s 6d to £3 ss; Jersey heifer calves to £2 7s; smaller 36s to £2.

Pigs: Medium baconers £3 3s to £3 8s; light £2 17s to £3 Is; heavy porkers £2 Ils to £2 16s; medium £2 2s to £2 7s; light 35s to £2; unfinished sorts 25s to 30s; choppers £2 5s to £4 ss; best sows to farrow £3 5s to £3 15s; others £2 to £2 18s; large stores 22s 6d to 265; medium 17s to 20s; small stores and slips 10s to 15s 6d; best weaners 5s to 9s; others 2s 6d to 4s.

Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held their weekly sale at Frankton on Tuesday as under:— Sheep: A good yarding of sheep met with keen competition tor good quality sheep whilst unfinished were dull of sale. Heavy prime wethers 23s to 25s 3d, medium wethers 19s to 21s 6d, prime fat ewes 14s 6d to 165.. lighter ewes Ils to 13s 6d, prime fat lambs 17s to 20s, medium do. 13s to 15s.

Cattle: There was a small yarding of all classes of fat cattle which showed a sharp rise on last week’s prices. No doubt due to the limited yarding of fat cows and heifers showing a rise in some cases of 30s per head. Pigs: A small yarding of pigs came forward with a full yarding of stores. Fat pigs sold on a par with late rates while stores and weaners firmed. We did not pen any top weight baconers. Prime medium baeoners £3 8s to £3 10s, medium do. £3 4s to £3 Bs, light do. £2 18s to £3 3s, heavy porkers prime £2 6s to £2 10s, heavy do. £2 to £2 6s, prime medium do. 35s to £2, medium do. 30s to 355, prime light do. 25s to 30s, light do. 20s to 255, large store pigs 20s to 255, medium do. 15s to 20s, small do. 12s to 15s, slips 8s to 12s, weaners 4s to Bs.

CLEARING SALE AT BRUNTWOOD

The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Ltd., report having held a clearing sale on account of Messrs Hinton and Kane at Bruntwood, on Tuesday. There was a large attendance of buyers present, and competition was keen. The herd of 30 cows on account of Mr F. J. Hinton came forward in good order and condition, realising the satisfactory average of £9 7s 6d. The herd of 16 on account of Mr P. Kane were not quite as forward as the former herd, but all sold under the hammer and averaged £7 3s 6d; realisations were:

On account of F. J. Hinton: Choice Jersey eows, July calvers £ll 10s to £l2 15s; Jersey and Jersey cross cows, July calvers £9 5s to £lO 10s; smaller and later calvers £8 to £9; light quartered cows £5 to £5 10s. On ccount of P. Kane: Jersey eows, July calvers £8 10s to £9; later calvers £6 to £7 15s; in-calf heifers £5 ss.

DISPERSAL SALE AT TAMAHERE.

The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co. Ltd. report having conducted a clearing sale on behalf of the estate of H. S. Day, at Tamahere on Wednesday. The herd came forward to a small bench of buyers and competition was not spirited, although a total clearance was effected. The usual range of sundries sold well. Realisations were:—Young Jersey and Jersey cross cows, July calvers £7 to £7 110 s, August calvers £6 to £6 15s, older cows £5 5s to £5 17s Gd, aged and unsound cows £3 to £4 10s, 2-year choice Jersey heifers, close to profit £6 to £6 10s, others £5 to £5 15s, later taivers £3 to £4 ss.
