Indicative of the growth of dairying, two new dairy factories will be operating in the Waikato during the next dairying season. Work on the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company’s new butter factory at Tirau has been finished and the building will be opened by the Minister cf Agriculture, the Hon. W. Lee Martin, on July 5. The factory has been designed along the most modern lines and will have a capacity of 500 tons. Work is proceeding steadi’y on the construction af the company’s new cheese factory at Nsratea. but it is not yet known when this factory will begin operations.
