WEDDING BELLS

VALOIS—MORRISON. The Presbyterian Church, Otorohanga, presented a very animated scene on Tuesday last, on the occasion of the Valois—Morrison wedding. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. S. W. Webber, the organist being Mrs Ken. Liddy. The contracting parties were Veda, daughter of Mr and Mrs Valois, of Ngahinapouri, and James, son of Mr and Mrs H. Morrison, of Maihiihi. The bride looked very charming- as she walked up the aisle upon the arm of her father, attired in white faced silk satin, cut on slender lines, trimmed with small buttons down the front of the dress and with an oval train. The full sleeves were gathered at the wrist. Her beautiful veil of tulle was held in place by a small halo of orange blossom, and she carried a lovely bouquet of‘White dahlias and camellias. Miss Jean Valois (niece of the bride) and Miss Rita Banfield (of Te Kuiti) were flower girl and bridesmaid respectively. They were costumed alike in frocks of blue georgette, cut on slim fitting lines, with charming coatees of the same material as their frocks. Both carried pleasing bouquets of jonquils and narcissi. Mr Silvester Valois (brother of the bride) functioned as best man. A largely attended reception was held at which the bride’s mother, assisted by the mother of the bridegroom, received the guests. Mrs Valois wore a frock of brown embossed georgette, cut on tunic lines, with furs and other accessories in perfect harmony. She carried a bouquet of seasonal blooms, violets predominating. Mrs Morrison, sen., wore a navy blue tailored costume, with hat and accessories in toning shades. Her bouquet was of violets. The honeymoon is being spent at Auckland. The bride travelled in a flecked navy blue costume 1 , with furs and accessories of a similar shade. Mr and Mrs Morrison will settle on the land in the Otorohanga district.
