BEQUEST TO HOSPITAL
THE LATE JAMES DUNCAN. BOARD’S APPRECIATION. Under the will of the late Mr James Duncan, of Otorohanga, who died on 19th March, the Public Trustee is appointed executor and trustee, and Mr J. E- Duncan, oi Te Puke, advisory trustee. The will provides for charitable bequests (subject to a prior life interest) of £lOO each to the Southland Hospital Board and the Waikato Hospital Board. At yesterday’s meeting of the Waikato Hospital Board, the board’s appreciation of the gift was expressed by the chairmart, Mr J. J. Ryburn, who stated that when the money was received he would like to see it set aside for special purposes instead of being put into the board’s ordinary account. The speaker thought that the donors would appreciate it more if they knew that their gifts were being used in some special way to alleviate suffering.
