THE CELTIC LAD CASE
APPEAL DISMISSED. AVONDALE DISQUALIFICATION The Auckland District Committee heard last evening an appeal lodged by R. R. Savage, of Te Awamutu, against his disqualification for six months by the Avondale Jockey Club stewards in connection with the run--ning of the horse Celtic Lad in the Avondale Hurdles on 23rd April. The Committee dismissed the appeal and endorsed the finding of the Avondale stewards. A deposit of £5 lodged with the appeal was ordered to be forfeited.
