CORONATION ROMANCES

SHEEP FARMER’S FILM STAR BRIDE. SYDNEY GIRL TO WED. London, April 10. Two Coronation time romances have brought an Australian bride to' London, and will soon send a Canadian bride to Australia. The Australian bride is Miss Edith Abrahams, 19 year old daughter of the Australian K.C., who has comes from Sydney for her Coronation wedding. On May 18 she will become Mrs I. Lewis, bride of a London furrier. "Our romance is- just like British history. We met when I came over for King George V’s jubilee. Now I’m here for the Coronation—and we’re going to get married,” said the dark-eyed bride-to-be when interviewers found her in her London hotel this week. "Of course, I’ve been away in Sydney for a long time since we met —but we kept in touch by telephone. After the wedding I’m going to live in London. Boy, am I thrilled!” Claire Adams, Canadian born exfilm star, is the bride who will soon be going to Australia. At a party in London she was introduced to Donald Scobie Mackinnon, sheep farmer from Australia, who had just arrived on a Coronation visit. Next move to the romance was by sheep-farmer Mackinnon. Bursting into the Mayfair Hotel he said, “I want a wedding . . make me a reception. We’re getting married to-morrow.” And so the bells pealed. “I just came over for a Coronation holiday,” said Mr MacKinnon. “Didn’t have any idea of getting married. Well, after May we’re going back to my sheep station in Australia.”
