OBITUARY
MR. P. J. McGUIRK. With the death of Mr P. J. MeGuirk, at the Taumarunui Hospital, Taringamotu district has lost a wellknown resident. He was the eldest son of the late Mr and Mrs James McGuirk, of Harapepe, and was born at Harapepe 65 years ago. After farming for some time in Te Aroha and other places, deceased resided in the Wairarapa district, but for the past 20 yegrs had lived at Taringamotu, where he was employed in sawmilling. Two sisters, Miss McGuirk and Mrs Fred Pope, both of Harapepe, survive him. There was a large attendance at the funeral, the cortege leaving the Catholic Church, Te Awaniutu, for the Pirongia cemetery.
