RELIEF FROM ESTATE
FORMER PARAW'ERA FARMER’S WILL. An application under the Family Protection Act in the estate of the late Archie Hartmann Ellicott, a farmer of Parawera, was heard by Mr Justice Callan in tho Supreme Court of Hamilton on Monday afternoon. Plaintiff was Joan Ellicott, a daughter of deceased, aged 16, for whom Mr E. F. Clayton-Greene appeared. The executors, Frederick Jones Binnie and Hensleigh C. M. Norris, were represented by Mr Norris. Counsel explained that the estate was valued for death duty purposes at £5814, but after the payment of liabilities, it now stood at £439. The whole of the estate was assigned to plaintiff’s grandmother who was in comfortable circumstances. There was no objection to a grant being made the daughter. His Honour made an order for plaintiff to be paid £52 per annum from the balance of tho estate for her maintenance, education and benefit. All parties were given leave to apply to the Court for variation.
