GARDEN PARTY. (Our Resident Representative.) The Methodist community were unfortunate on Friday, regarding the weather conditions, their scheduled garden party having to be postponed owing to the steady downpour of rain throughout the day. A well-attended sale of work, produce, garden products, and other revenue producing channels was, however, made available in the Town Hall annexe, the function being declared open by Mr W. J. Broadfoot, M.P. for Waitomo. The tea stalls were strongly patronised, and the result, despite the bad weather conditions, were extremely gratifying to all concerned.
