ARMISTICE DAY
MAYOR’S APPEAL TO TOWNSPEOPLE. His Worship the Mayor asks all citizens of Te Awamutu to observe the wishes expressed by His Majesty King Edward VIII. to observe two minutes’ silence at 11 a.m. on Wednesday next (Armistice Day). It is expected that all work and ether activities will cease. There will also be complete suspension of all vehicular traffic within the borough of Te Awamiftu during the two minutes’ silence.
