AS REPORTED IN THE WAIPA POST ON 10th NOV., 1936. The Waipa county elections on Wednesday resulted in the election of Messrs J. B. Teasdale and G. McKinder for Rangiaohia riding, defeating Mr D. Cavanagh; Messrs W. G. Macky nnd C. M. Alexander for Mangapiko, defeating Mr Geo. Finch; Mr D. V. Bryant for Hamilton, defeating Mr T. M. Hall; Mr H. U. Poynter for Newcastle, defeating Mr D. Fullerton. The election was conducted by Mr C Bowden, returning officer for the county. It is announced that new regulations are gazetted enabling six-party telephone lines to be run into rural areas. The Waikato Farmers’ Bacon Company offers 4ld per lb for good bacon pigs delivered to works at Frankton. lhe town Board has under consideration a proposal to establish a gasworks in Te Awamutu.
