AS REPORTED IN THE WAIPA POST ON 10th NOV., 1936. The Waipa county elections on Wednesday resulted in the election of Messrs J. B. Teasdale and G. McKinder for Rangiaohia riding, defeating Mr D. Cavanagh; Messrs W. G. Macky nnd C. M. Alexander for Mangapiko, defeating Mr Geo. Finch; Mr D. V. Bryant for Hamilton, defeating Mr T. M. Hall; Mr H. U. Poynter for Newcastle, defeating Mr D. Fullerton. The election was conducted by Mr C Bowden, returning officer for the county. It is announced that new regulations are gazetted enabling six-party telephone lines to be run into rural areas.
