CORONATION PAGEANT

NEW ZEALAND .CONTINGENT TO BE SENT. A military contingent will represent New Zealand at the Coronation in London next May, although the strength ot the delegation has not yet been fixed. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, said at Wei lington last evening that the Cabinet had given consideration to the question, and had decided that New 7 Zea land should be adequately represented by r. military contingent. “Effect will be given to the Cabinet’s decision,” the Primo Minister said, “but the details as to tin number of the representation and trans port have yet to be worked out. There is plenty of time to make all necessary arrangements, but there will be no undue delay in completing the de tails. We recognise that those to be selected to make the historic trip should be given ample notice. "The question will be gone into without delay by the Minister of Defence and the advisory officers of his department. All branches ot the Forces will be represented and the contingent will comprise officers and men who fought for New Zealand and the British Commonwealth in the Great War.”
