TE AWAMUTU V. CAMBRIDGE. Te Awamutu Tennis Club sent its representatives to Cambridge last Saturday for an inter-club match, and a most enjoyable time was spent. When the final figures were made up it was found that Cambridge had won 14 sets and 157 games to Te Awamutu’s nine sets and 119 games. Results are as follows, with Te Awamutu players named first: Ladies’ singles: Miss R. Bell beat Miss J. Feisst 7 —3, Miss G. Bell beat Miss M. Cox 7 —2, Miss K. Ken- lost to Miss O. Harvey I—7, -Miss L. North lost to Miss Woods 4—7, Miss M. Clark lost to Mrs Smeaton o—7.0 —7. Men’s singles: R. Armstrong lost to D. Clow 3—9, R. Goodall beat Feisst 9—6, A. Ross lost to J. Paul 6—9, E. Miller beat W. Smeaton 9—7, G. Fulton lost to S. Latta 5—9, J. A. Jourdain lost to S. Haines 2—9. Ladies’ doubles: Misses R. and G. Bell beat Mrs Hollis and Miss Feisst 7 —3, Misses Kerr and North lost to Misses E. Feisst and Harvey o—7. Misses Clark and L. Cruickshank lost to Mrs Freeman and Miss Woods 5—7.
