MAYFAIR MOVES
Houses where tailors have plied with needle and thread for many years will soon vanish with the pulldown and rebuilding of Sackville Street. For many years Sackville Street has been, with Savile Row, the “sanctum” of men’s dress—.the Harley Street of tailoring. Nowadays the “location” of leading tailors is changing. Piccadilly is becoming a Wfest End centre for men’s wear, and more tailors than one have decided that they prefer the publicity value of the big thoroughfares to the side turning where shop windows are less noticed.
