WRESTLING
Wrestling enthusiasts in Te Awamutu and neighbourhood will be inforested to learn that a professional contest is to be staged locally next ihursday evening, when Anton Koolman, professional light heavy-weight champion of New Zealand, is called upon to defend his title from F. Batros, who recently appeared here in a bout with C. Pollard, of Auckland. In. addition to the main contest, there will be bouts between Auckland, Wellington and district wrestlers.
The Waikato Association is again fortunate in its selection of professional wrestlers, for the match advertised for ■ Thursday next. Blomfield will meet Pencheff, and patrons are. assured of a most thrilling bout. These men met at Hastings a fortnight ago, Pencheff winning the match. A special feature of next Thursday’s bout will be the challenge of 6 amateur wrestlers from the H. M.S. “Dunedin” who are matched against Waikato’s best. These challenge bouts will be quite as interesting as the professional contest.
