SCHOOL ATTENDANCES
REGULATIONS PUBLISHED. The Average Attendance Regulations under the Education Act were published with the Gazette last night. They provide for 95 per cent of the average number on the roll of public schools excluding secondary and native schools, for days on which the school is open from September , 7th, 1936, to October 2nd, 1936. In the case of secondary departments of district high schools, the number on the roll on March Ist, 1937, shall be deemed to be the average attendance on which such a school shall be classified next year.
