CROQUET
TE AWAMUTU CLUB. On Wednesday, during the afternoon tea interval at the local Croquet Club’s lawns, the first draw was made for this season. The A Stars were drawn by Mesdames Dowds and Jourdain and the B Buttons by Mesdames Paul and Burchell. Last week Mesdames J. Ryan, H. J. Webber, G. Paul, and J. T. Young visited Frankton for that Club’s opening, and spent a very enjoyable afternoon. On Thursday Mesdames W. H. Davis, G. O. Jourdain, S. J. Nobes, and K. Pearte visited Hamilton Club for its opening, and they thoroughly enjoyed the outing. Incidentally, Mis Nobes won a prize for progressive croquet.
