Mpg R. Lord and Miss Lord, of Auckland, were the guests of Mrs K. C. Rickit, Alexandra Street, during last week-end.
Mr J. F. Trapski, tlie well known Otorohanga solicitor, is at present an inmate of a private hosptial in Hamilton, for an operation to his nose.
The engagement is announced of Dulcie May, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs W. J. Rowe, Ngaruawahia, to Alfred Naylor (Fred.), elder son of Mr and Mrs C. A. E. Maule, of Ongarue.
•Messrs Gillies and Nichol, Government audit inspectors, are now in Te Awamutu auditing the various local body accounts. At present they are quartered in the Borough Council Chambers.
Mr H. Y. Collins, formerly a wellknown local professional man, who now resides in one of Auckland’s seaside suburbs, is a visitor to Te Awamutu renewing old friendships.
Their many friends will be pleased to learn that Mrs L. Teasdale, of Te Awamutu, and Mrs E. J. Onion, of Hairini, are both making steady and satisfactory progress towards recovery, as patients at “Mutariki” private hospital.
