TE AWIAMUTU CHAMPIONSHIPS. The finalists for Te Awamutu Golf Club’s men’s championship are F. C. Blundell and J. P. Brown. In the semi-finals Blundell, playing excellent golf, defeated H. V. Holmes, 2 up, and Brown beat R. H. Wallace, 2 up. Blundell put up a course record when playing Holmes, doing the round in 67—3 under par. In five successive holes he was one under bogey for four of them, and equalled par in the other, In the intermediate championship division, second round, J. B. Muir beat D. Christie, R. Griffith beat C. O. Edmonds, A. Craig beat E. Griffin, and J. Wialker beat G. W. Parker. The second round of the juniorchampionship resulted: J. Burke beat I. Narbey, H. Bent beat J. B. W. Roberton, J. Sinnott beat J. Fletcher, and W. J. Craik beat O. North. A SPECIAL COMPETITION. Te Awamutu and district golf enthusiasts will doubtless be interested, to learn that Te Awamutu Golf Club has decided to participate in the Do-minion-wide competition promoted by the Hutt Valley Returned Soldiers’ Association for an 18-hole bogey contest this The local Club will hold its competition next week-end, players choosing their own partners and playing in three-ball formation.. To comply with the competitions it is, we learn, necessary for competitors to sign the notice of entry at the clubhouse before commencing play. TE AWAMUTU LADIES’ CLUB.
