THE AUSTRALIAN JOURNAL
REVIEW OF SEPTEMBER ISSUE. The delightful cover design by L. Gladstone McPherson on this month’s Australian Journal matches perfectly the smart and cheerful yarns inside. From cover to cover there is not a dreary, gruesome or morbid story. Contributors for September include such well known Australian and New Zealand writers as Rex Grayson, Charlotte Westfield, H. McNeish, Louis Kaye, Myra Morris, Captain F. Rhodes, Margaret Fane and Hilary Lofting, Beryl Gray, “Ladye Jane,” and others. In addition to fiction there are pages of features, including fashions, radio notes, cookery hints and recipes, knitting and needlework designs, dressmaking notes, paragraphs, and a section for the children. The issue is splendidly illustrated in colour, con tains no less than 152 pages, and costs only 6d at all newsagents.
