MORRINSVILLE STOCK SALE. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Limited, Hamilton, report as follows on their Morrinsville stock sale, held on Friday:—Our entry of fat cattle was a meduim one only, and the quality was only plain for most. Competition, however, was extremely brisk and prices tended to improve on last Tuesday’s Frankton rates. The market for store Jersey cows, sound young Jersey cows, S.H. plain conditioned i.c. heifers was also very brisk and comparatively good prices were secured for all classes. Dairies too, met with steady competition and our entry of principally medium conditioned ones realised very satisfactory prices. A small entry of pigs made ruling rates. Medium conditioned fat Jersey heifers £5 5s to £5 17s 6d, light quality ditto £4 10s to £5 2s 6d, light killable conditioned fat cows £3 10s to £4 10s, good store quality cows £2 5s to £3, plain quality S.H. i.c. ,run heifers pen at £6 16s, good sorts dairy cows and heifers £6 15s to £7 15s, medium £5 10s to £6 10s. Medium store pigs £1 2s 6d to £1 Bs, slips 17s 6d to £1 Is, weaners 13s to 16s.

NGARUAWAHIA STOCK SALE. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., Hamilton, report as follows on their Ngaruawahia stock sale, held on Friday:—-Quite a fair proportion of a good sized entry in the: fat and store pens were medium to good conditioned Jersey cows. These commanded keen competition and prices were fully up to the standard of last week’s Frankton values. Store and unfinished fat cows were also readily sought, late rates again being easily maintained. A scattering of good class dairy cows especially sold very wtell, but for medium quality ones due early a satisfactory sale was effected. Medium conditioned fat Jersey cows £4 10s to £5 Ils, fair quality Friesian cows £4 15s to £5 4s, medium quality fat cows £3 IDs to £4 12s 6d. light unfinished £2 to £3 7s 6d, sound young empty Jersey cowls £2 14s to £3, small yearling Jersey bulls £2 17s 6d, best dairy cows (close to profit) £8 5s to £lO 10s, medium sorts dairy cows and heifers (close to profit) £6 14s to £7 15. more backward and poorer ditto £5 to £6 10s, inferior to £4 10s.

RABBIT SKIN SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd., Dunedin, report as follows: About 65 tons were offered at Tuesday’s sale. Con trary to expectations, the American demand is keeping up remarkably well in spite of the large quantities which have been purchased this season at high prices in New Zealand and Australia. Competition was again keen for all grades, and winter bucks sold at 150 d per lb. All other grades were very firm.
