KING COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS. mrs h. McDonald wins the LADIES’ TITLE. Playing in the King Country ladies’ golf championship tournament at Taumarunui on Friday, Mrs H. McDonald, of Te Awamutu, won the championship with the fine score of 170, made up of two 18-hole rounds of 82 and 88. The runner-up, Mrs R. Somerville, of Taumarunui, finished with 86 and 91, the aggregate being 177 7 strokes more than Mrs McDonald’s score. The team championship went to Taumarunui, and the teams handicap medal was won by Mrs H. K. Spencer, of Taumarunui, with a card showing 103—33—70. The bogey match was won by Mrs C. Eady, of Taumarunui, all square.
