TE AWAMUTU STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held their tri-weekly stock .-ale at Te Awamutu on Thursday, as under. —Dairy cattle: A large yarding oi 209 head. There was a good demand at full late rates. Young Jersey cows close to profit made from ‘7 0s 6d to £9 ss, medium cows £4 15s io £6 10s, light conditioned and inferior cows £3 10s to £4 12s 6d, first class Jersey heifers close to profit made up to £3 15s, medium ditto £5 15s to £6 15s, small and inferior heif<rs £3 17s 6d to £4 J ss. Fat and store cattle: A large yarding, including a very nice draft of prime bullocks sold on account of estate of T. J. Walker, Kihikihi, which commanded very keen competition and sold at adanced rates on late values. The following are the values realised, with a ;otal clearance: 8 prime F.A. bullocks made up to £l3 15s, 8 ditto at £l2, 8 Hereford cross bullocks £lO 7s, 8 Jersey cross bullocks £9 Ils, Friesian bullocks £l3 10s, Shorthorn cows £7 2s ‘ d to £9 ss, P.A. cows extra heavy on account of Mr P. C. Hogan £ll ss, heavy Jersey cows £6 10s to £7 7s 6d, light Jersey cows £4 4s to £5 7s 6d, boners 37s 6d to £2 18s, bulls £4 12s 6d, yearling Jersey heifers £2 16s to £3 Bs. Sheep: A small yarding which sold under good competition. Fat wethers made 35s 6d, fat hoggets 22s I Sd to 25s 6d, full mouthed ewes r.w. Southdown rams 24s 6d to 26s 6d, fat ewes 22s 6d. Pigs: There was a full yarding of pigs, comprising chiefly stores and weaners. A total clearance was effected at full late rates. Quality weaners and large stores were particularly in keen demand, only a few pens of light baconers and heavy porkers came forward and realised full market rates. We quote: Light baconers £3 to £3 ss, heavy porkers to light baconers £2 8s to £2 15s, buttermilk pigs £2 2s to £2 6s, porkers 35s Ito £2 Is, light porkers 28s to 345, large store pigs 30s to 38s, medium ditto 25s to 295, small ditto 20s to 245, best slips 18s to 245, smaller 14s to 17s, best weaners 18s to 235, smaller, 12s to 16s, sows to farrow £4 to £s' 2s 6d.

OHAUPO STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held their Ohaupo sale on Friday, when an average yarding of cattle came forward. Competition was good throughout, and a satisfactory sale resulted. Light tat Jersey cross cows made £5 9s to £6, light fat Jersey two year heifers £4 10s to £4 17s 6d, unfinished cows £3 10s to £4 ss, young Holstein cross and S.H. cross cows £4 9s to £5 4s, young sound empty Jersey cows and Jersey heifers £2 10s to £3 ss, boners 25s to £2 14s, according to weight and condition. Young calved Holstein cross cows in milk sold at £7, medium quality Holstein heifers close to profit £6 12s 6d to £7 ss, good quality Jersey heifers

£7 15s, more backward Jersey heifers £5 2s 6d to £6 12s 6d. MORRINSVILLE STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company reports as follows on its Morrinsville stock sale held last Friday;— Beef cows, of which a medium entry composed of a few pens of heavy but unfinished Polled Angus cows and an average number of Jersey fat cows, came forward. The demand was brisk, and all classes sold at firmer rates than were secured at Frankton last Tuesday. Two pens each containing seven well-grown but unfinished Polled Angus fat cows, offered on account of Mr C. Barker, Walton, sold well at £7 17s 6d and £8 18s; medium-condition fat Jersey cows realised £3 15s to £4 7s 6d, lighterquality ditto £2 15s to £3 10s, storecondition Jersey cows £2 2s 6d to £2 12s 6d, boners £1 16s to £2. The advertised empty 2 and 3-year Shorthorn and Hereford cross run heifers met with a keen reception, and made £4 4s per head for the 3-year cattle and £4 Is each for the younger cattle. A few plain dairies realised late rates. Quite lively competition was forthcoming for the riiedium entry of mostly store and weaner pigg and for the scattering of porkers and light baconers included. We quote: Light baconers £2 15s to £3 7s, heavy porkers £2 4s to £2 12s 6d, light porkers £1 12s to £2, medium store pigs £1 4s to £1 7s 6d, others £1 Is to £1 3s 6d, slips 18s to £1 Is, large weaners 14s to 17s 6d, small to Ils.
