TRAFFIC INSPECTION
WAfIKATO COUNCIL TO LEAVE GROUP. “Since the county has been without a traffic inspector, the heavy traffic regulations axe being broken right and left, and the county roads are suffering considerable damage,” said the engineer, Mr A. A. Woodward, at a meeting of the Waikato County Council yesterday when the question of employing an inspector under the group system was considered. Until a few months ago the Waikato, Waipa and Raglan Counties and the Huffily and NgaruaWahia Boroughs formed a traffic control group and employed two inspectors. Both inspectors have lately left the employment of the group, and some of the contributing members have decided to withdraw.
The W'aikato County Council has now also decided to withdraw, and to call applications for an inspector, Who, apart from traffic control, would also be employed on noxious weeds inspection.
