TE AWAMUTU STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held their usual tjri-weekly stock sale at Te Awamutu on Thursday as under:—Sheep: Only a small yarding which sold at full late rates. Fat wethers 27s 6d, light fat wethers 24s 9d, fat ewes 18s 7d to 21s, store 2-tooth wethers 20s 9d, heavy fat lambs 24s 6d ito 26s 6d, medium weight lambs 20s, small store lambs 9s to 10s 3d. Dairy Cattle: A large yarding which met with 'a fair demand at late rates. Pens cf springing heifers made up to £6 17s 6d, medium quality ditto £4 10s to £5 ss, small heifers £3 to £3 10s, dairy cows (July, August calvers) £5 to £6 15s, others £3 to £4 ss. Fat and Store Cattle: A heavy yarding composed mostly of fat and boner Jersey cows, prices were on a par with’late sales. A-few pens of fat steers sold at prices slightly in buyers’ favour. Pigs: There was a very heavy yarding of fat and store pigs. Baconers sold at advanced rates under very keen competition, while prime porkers also met with a ready demand. Unfinished sorts were as keenly sought after. MORRINSVILLE STOCK SALE.

;New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., Hamilton, report on their Mjoflrinsville stock sale, held on Friday, as follows:—Few of a moderate entry were of good quality. Mediocre Jersey cows formed the bulk of the entry. A firm demand was experienced and a satisfactory clearance effected for all classes. For smlall numbers of dairy cows the. enquiry was keen and prices were similar to those of other resetn sales. Good competition prevailed for a number of pens of mostly forward quality fat lambs while breeding , ewes were fairly briskly [sought after. Good qulality Jersey cows £3 17s 6d to £4 6s, medium ditto £3 5s to £3 15s, light quality ditto £2 15s to £3 2s 6d, good conditioned store cows £2 to £2 12s 6d, heavy boners £1 16s to £2 4s, others to £1 14s, good young dairy cows and heifers £5 to- £6, inferior i.c. heifers £4 to £4 15s, forward quality fat lambs 18s to £1 Is,

There was a medium yarding of fat pigs with a small yarding of stores. Baconers again advanced land the top price realised was £3 Ils. Porkers Were quitted at this week’s Frankton quotations. HAMILTON STOCK SALE.

The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering ‘Company Limited report: Sheep.— At Frankton sale on Tuesday both wethers and ewes came forward in full numbers, the quality of most being good and competition remained strong at recent improved quotations. Fat lambs were penned in good numbers with prime sorts receiving more attention from exporters, but unfinished lambs were dull of sale. Cattle.—A moderate yarding of ox beef with quotations! showing an easing tendency. Again a full yarding of cow and heifer beef, the market showing no alteration while a heavy yarding of second quality and boner cows was slightly easier. A full yarding of vealers and runners met with recent values. Pigs.—A smaller yarding of fat pigs than last week, with, a medium entry of stores. Baconers were again in keen demand, and last week’s top price was exceeded, a few pens of good quality baconers realising £3 9s, which is the highest price recorded at Frankton this season. 'With a further drop in schedule, porkers again declined and unfinished pigs were hard to quit. A better enquiry for stores and weaners, with prices showing an improvement.
