“ FAITH IN AUSTRALIA ” FOR, NEW GUINEA SERVICE. It was reported in Sydney last week that the three-engined monoplane Faith in Australia had been purchased from Kingsford Smith Air Services, Ltd., by a trading concern in New Guinea. It will be used for transporting freight, mainly foodstuffs, between Salamua and the goldfields settlement at Wau. It has flown the Tasman in both directions three times and made many other notable flights. It was rebuilt in Sydney originally for Mr. C. T. P. Ulm. The work was done mainly by Wing-Commander L. J. Wackett at Cockatoo Island, and the rebuilding operations included a complete new wing and many other new components which were fabricated in Sydney.
