The War on Cancer.
“Oncer is not such a terrible disease. If the sufferer would apply early enough for treatment there is a very considerable prospect that he could be permanently cured. It arises from certain cells within the body. Our bodies are built of a vast number of Cells, each of which grows in a perfectly orderly manner. It is only once in a billion billion times that one of these cells starts growing by itself. Then we have cancer. It is simply Bolshevism in the cells of the human body. At present in this country it is estimated that there are 150,000 people suffering from cancer. One in seventy individuals throughout the world dies of cancer. It does not matter what one eats. None of these outside influences affects it in the least. It forms one of the great problems the human race has to solve, and we are solving it.” —Mr. H. S. gouttar, surgeon of the London Hospital.
