Combative Measure Against Goitre Anchor Batter Protects Health As a result of an official investigation into the incidence of goitre, it has been found that the disease is fairly prevalent in the Auckland province. Medical examination of about 3000 children in many provincial schools throughout the Thermal District and Central Waikato has revealed 75 per cent, of goitrous condition. At a special meeting of the Medical Conference on the 4th March, a resolution was carried instructing the Council of the B.M.A. to bring before the Government the urgent necessity of enforcing the addition of iodine to table salt.
