On Saturday last the Tatuanui school boys played a football match on the Waitoa grounds, Waitoa winning by 6 points to 4. Miss Turner has opened her up-to-date drap.ery business. It is to be hoped the district will support her in her enterprise. Miss Turner has had good business experience.

The Y.M.C.A. held their usual euchre pai’ty last week. There were 10 tables in play. Mrs Hyde won the ladies’ first prize and Mrs G. Forbes the second. Mr J. Colson raon the first gent.’s and Mr T. McQuarters the second.

The Waitoa 'bus service is doing good business and the proprietor should be well pleased with the support accorded him. The ’bus 1 " fills a long felt want for the district. The tennis courts are closed till next season.

The school committee are preparing for their day’s entertainment for the school children. An afternoon entertainment will be held, as the chidren had no picnic or prizes owing to the epidemic. This will take place in the Waitoa Hall.
