FINGER INJURED
Mr H. R. Carwardine, employed by the Piako County Council, met with a painful accident on Friday last while employed in repairing the bearings of the crusher at Waiorongomai quarry. The index finger of his left hand was smashed by a blow from a sledge hammer. It is unlikely that he will recover the use of the injured finger.
