(Contributed by “Duo Purpose.”) A FEW DON’TS. Don’t handle a bird roughly. Don’t neglect the drinking water. Don’t rear chickens on stale ground. Don’t place nest boxes too high up. Don’t have perches less than 2in wide. Don’t place perches more than 2ft from the ground. Don’t keep fowls and ducks together in the same pen. Don’t frighten a hen, especially by running after her. Don’t encourage pullets to lay before they are fully matured.
